Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Cleanser Jasmine & Osmanthus

I’ve been using Liz Earle products for about 15 years since I was introduced to them by my auntie. I have always known Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish hot cloth Cleanser would remove whatever I put on my face – whether it was after a full face of sparkly make up from a 6th form Ball, after a morning of not sleeping to revive my skin, coming out of a post migraine fog or after a day without wearing any make up. It is one of several cleansers I do use but I tend to use it daily.

I have always liked the freshness of the Eucalyptus zing to the product to wake me up and clear my breathing. I tried the first 2 Limited Edition scents and I enjoyed using them but the Jasmine and Osmanthus Limited Edition for the 20th Anniversary, is  interesting.

I had been concerned about being overwhelmed by the powerful and heady scent on Jasmine and I had no idea what Osmanthus smelt like I decided to try it. And it is pretty special. The canister is a sturdy, white printed cardboard tube with a metal top and bottom. In the tube are instructions, 2 muslin clothes trimmed in silver thread and the 150ml pump of Cleanse and Polish. Like the original Cleanse and Polish it is a creamy formula.

The scent is quite subtle which is not what I had unexpected. There’s a green woodiness under the exotic floral notes of the jasmine and there is a fresh fruitiness of the osmanthus and perfect for using after a muggy day. My skin felt clean, refreshed and not tight – just like it usually feels after using the original.
I’ve just smelt it after opening the cap of the tube and it’s just unusual.

If anything, it would have been good to have had the option of purchasing one of the travel sizes as a tester (or a sample with purchase of the original Cleanse & Polish) and then purchasing the full size cleanser especially with limited edition.
